Firefly Het Clown!!

Nice female from Firefly x Clown clutch. Final tally:

0.2 Firefly Het Clown 1.2 Fire Het Clown 1.1 Pastel Het Clown 1.0 Het Clown

Imposter! Clutch #34 was from DBL Het Lavender Clown & Super Pastel x Het Clown. I only threw the Super Pastel in once because I was afraid the female might slug out if not bred one more time and dbl het just wasn’t interested. A few days ago I cut 5 out of 6 eggs… Very disappointed to find all Pastel 50% Het Clowns. Then today I discover the one egg I didn’t cut was holding this gorgeous female Clown 50% Het Lav.

Even with a split sire clutch, the odds of that egg being a homozygous Clown was only 25%… I’m feeling lucky right now!

Was hoping for a Firefly Bee from this clutch, but twins is just too much!

This is only my second set of twins, I hatched 0.2 Het Albinos in 2009.

Clown 50% Het Lavenders hatching! These should be fun to play with…

Here’s the Killer Pied male out of the egg. So glad he turned out to be low white… I’m diggin’ that stripe!

Killer Pied!! After 2 years of missing on the Super Pastel Piebald (aka: Killer Pied), this little gem was waiting in the egg for me this morning. Well worth the wait!

Snapped a pic of this little Super Pastel male that just crawled out of Clutch #21. He’s going to be a screamer!

Clutch #17 - Love this little male Pastel YB 50% Het Pied. He’s a screamer for sure. Lots of girls to play with in this clutch as well.

Clutch #18 - These are the unexpected Honeybees! Ended up with 2.1 and couldn’t be happier with this “dinker” project.

JKR customer and International Partner Daivd Su recently took 1st place the Ball Python category with a JKR produced female Genetic Stripe at an Indonesian reptile expo! Big congratulations, David. You’ve not even pulled out the big guns yet and you’re already winning.

Check out this little hottie that just crawled out of Clutch #17. Pastel YB 50% Het Pied… ringer to boot. Think he’ll prove??

2 moth posts in a week? That’s right! This beautiful luna moth was resting on a maternity rack in the rodent room last night.

Sneak peak at the Pastel Jungle Woma! The “Jungle Woma” is a new co-dom mutation that is not related to other Jungle or Woma lines. Its been a sleeper project here at JKR for the past couple years but it looks like we are in for a treat with my first JW combo!

Super form coming in 2011.
